This is a truly lovely house. It has been very lovingly occupied for many years by its owners and has the most beautiful views. The work done on this house over the years has been done with a lot of love and care.
It is situated in the outskirts of Votsi village in a very private screened position and you do not see other houses around. It is a large plot of 2350 square metres and if the new owners wanted to extend or to build separate guest accommodation this would be possible. The house presently is about 150 square metres. You access the house by going up two steps onto a veranda tiled in terracotta with a table, chairs and an outside BBQ and oven, The veranda extends on two sides and is surrounded with a wide low stone wall topped with solid wood horizontal balustrades. The front door opens onto a large open plan sitting room / dining room and kitchen. The house throughout is tiled in the same terracotta tile and all decor is white.
Two sets of French windows lead onto a wide veranda with substantial wooden child proof balustrades around. There is a large family sized table and chairs. The veranda has stunning views up the coast of Alonissos to Kokkinokastro and across to Peristera and going around to the right to Two Brothers islands.
The sitting room section has a corner fireplace in the Alonissos style but there is also central heating throughout the house. There are handmade ceramic lights (designed by their daughter), settee and three easy chairs and a coffee table. There is ample space for a separated dining area with table and chairs. Off this the wooden fitted kitchen contains a dishwasher, oven, hob and fridge freezer mostly concealed behind wooden fronts, all are in excellent condition. There is a side door to the garden and a window over the sink.
Wooden stairs lead to the upper floor and under the stairs there is a concealed store and also a very neat little guest cloakroom which is tiled floor to ceiling in white tiles.
On the upper floor there is a family bathroom with a semi-circular shower cubicle, a large hand basin with cupboards and also a washing machine. All beautifully tiled and immaculate.
There are two double bedrooms both furnished similarly with large IKEA fitted wardrobes, bedside tables and double beds. The bedrooms have open beamed ceilings and open onto a very large balcony with the same wonderful views.
Going back downstairs there are steps down to a lower level facilitated by the lay of the land and on this floor is a separate self-contained large studio. This part of the building is stone faced so very easy maintenance. The studio is about 62 square metres and opens via double French windows on to a patio and thereafter gardens.
The studio opens onto one huge room which has a small but very well fitted neat kitchen area, a dining area for 4-6 people. Presently the room has a double bed settee and other seating plus two single day beds furnished with cushions. There is an Alonissos style corner fireplace and coffee table etc. There are plently of bookshelves and a discreet but large wardrobe. Off this room is a good sized shower room with a corner shower, large handbasin and storage etc The studio is painted white with terracotta tiling throughout. Excellent sea views from the patio.
The property has a large brick built BBQ and oven. Its water storage tank is 50 cubic metres. There are so many extras it is hard to list all here, so we hope to give a good impression of the house but it really needs to be viewed.
This property offers excellent sea views, privacy but easy proximity to a village. A lot of space both inside and outside. Very easy maintenance with no jobs which need doing. Instantly liveable, great for a couple but also is a good sized family house.
It sleeps between 4 in the main house and 2 in the separate studio but can sleep up to 10 people in two separate units.
